You can find the stylish restaurant in the picturesque village of Ždiar in the ski center Ski Centrum Strachan under the ridge of the Belianske Tatras. You can choose from a wide range of dishes here. We offer local specialties such as gnocchi and pirogi, as well as homemade burgers and pizza. All the „little cubs” can enjoy our fancy pancakes. Part of the all-wooden restaurant is a terrace, which is an ideal place to taste our special Strachanovica – a distillate made from real Tatra blueberries.

The entire atmosphere of the Medvedí brloh Strachan is created for the most beautiful day of two people in love – wedding and wedding feast. Elements of original architecture, perfect service, a magical environment with a unique view of the Belianske Tatras – all these are the ingredients of a fairytale wedding in Ždiar.

STRACHANOVICA

The slopes of the Tatras giants have been rich in natural wealth since ancient times. One of the greatest gems, however, can be found in the wild mountain meadows, of which there are countless around Ždiar. It is here, thanks to regular rainfall and plenty of sunlight, that the best blueberries with their unique taste ripen. And they became our inspiration.

This non-traditional distillate is one of the most difficult to produce, primarily due to the difficulty of harvesting. It is prepared by slow distillation, which means that the ripe fruits are first macerated in alcohol for a specified time and then the whole mixture is distilled.

STRACHAN LIQUEUR

By the end of the 2022 winter season, the christening of a new Strachan drink – Strachan liqueur – took place on a snowy slope. Strachanovica – a 42% distillate from blueberry maceration, has been joined by a sweet sister for a gentler clientele – Strachan liqueur.

Blueberry distillate combined with blueberry juice created a special drink suitable for all kinds of occasions. When served, it impresses not only in taste, but also in appearance, for example, with a few pieces of fresh blueberries or in popular cocktails, to which they lend the mysterious scent of a deep forest.

STRAHAN CUVÉE

The idea of having own wine originated, as is traditional, in Jaro and Janka’s head. The choice of winery was clear. Tokaj is the most famous wine region, which, in addition to the birth of royal beverage, also offers, for example, tuff cellars that hide the treasures of eternal youth.

Since Strachan Cuvée is being prepared for the Strachan Group, which also includes Jaro Strachan’s siblings, they all went to the vineyards in Veľká Tŕňa for a tasting. Mr. Ostrožovič prepared 5 unique samples for them. They tasted, scored, combined and thought about the samples until they finally came to a conclusion which you can taste today.
